All the IITT Colleges carry the necessary statutory and regulatory approval/affiliations. Engineering & Management courses are approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) and affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jallandhar for courses available at Punjab Campus & to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla for Courses available at Himachal Campus.

Apart that, Residential Boarding School under IITT is affiliated with the Council of Indian Certificate of School Education - ICSE.
